Oh Florentine thank you for this marvelous creation, “The Jumpsuit”!

In 1919 Florentine Thayat, created one of the most evolutionary garments known to woman. Its was originally designed for men’s uniforms for aviation, parachuting, and race car driving.

The style trended in the 1930s, 1950s, and hit the scene in a big way during the 1960’s and 1970’s with the likes of “the one and only Diva”, Miss Diana Ross. Diana Ross has been impressing us with fabulous, sequined jumpsuits since the 60’s. Madonna and Brittany Spears continued the trend through the 80’s and beyond. Mrs. Carter a.k.a. Beyonce, who has always taken several pages out of Miss Diana Ross’ book, has dazzled us with many designer jumpsuit looks over the last decade.
